CampQuest is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, we receive a private relay address instead of your real email.

Children's information. You may add your children's first names and birth month and year to help us filter camps by age. We do not collect any other information about your children.

Location. We use your approximate location to show camps near you. Location is only accessed while you are using the app and is not stored on our servers.

Camp registrations and calendar entries. We store the camps you mark as registered and any manual calendar entries you create.

Messages. Direct messages and group chat messages are stored to enable real-time communication between users.

Device token. We store a push notification token to send you in-app notifications. You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.

Crash and usage data. We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports to help us fix bugs. This data is anonymous and does not include personal information.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account
• To show camps relevant to your children's ages and your location
• To enable social features such as friends, groups, and messaging
• To send push notifications about activity in the app
• To diagnose crashes and improve the app

We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.

Third-party services

CampQuest uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, push notifications, and crash reporting
• Google Sign-In — optional sign-in method
• Sign in with Apple — optional sign-in method
• Google Maps — displaying camp locations

Children's privacy

CampQuest is designed for use by parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The children's information you add (name and birth month/year) is provided by you as a parent and is used solely to filter camp results by age.

Data retention and deletion

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at feedback@campquest.app and we will process your request within 7 days.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
